Stop-gap install. Chrome Web Store review is in progress; the manual steps below are how you load it today.
Install

Find the
.zipyou just downloaded; if you skipped the button above, grab one from the releases page. - Unzip it; keep the resulting folder somewhere stable. Chrome reads from this folder on every load — if you delete or move it, the extension breaks.

Open
chrome://extensions/in a new tab. - Toggle Developer mode on; the switch sits in the top-right of the page.
- Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
- Pin a14y from the puzzle-piece icon so the popup is one click away on any page.
Updating
To install a newer version, repeat the steps above with the
latest .zip; Chrome replaces the existing install
in place. Once the Chrome Web Store approves the extension this
page switches to a one-click install button and updates run
automatically.
Privacy
The extension scores pages locally and sends only anonymous usage events (which check ran, pass/fail counts); never the URL or page content you audited. See privacy for the full breakdown and an on/off toggle.
