a14y for Chrome
One click from the toolbar; the full report opens in a new tab with pass/fail breakdowns and direct jumps to each check's fix guidance.
Install
Click the Chrome Web Store button above and then the Add to Chrome button. Make sure to also pin a14y from the puzzle-piece icon so the popup is one click away on any page.
Manual install: the latest release
The Chrome Web Store version trails main by however
long the review queue is. If you want the latest release the day
it ships, install the unpacked build from GitHub instead.

Find the
.zipyou just downloaded; if you skipped the button above, grab one from the releases page. - Unzip it; keep the resulting folder somewhere stable. Chrome reads from this folder on every launch; if you move or delete it, the extension stops loading.

Open
chrome://extensions/in a new tab. - Toggle Developer mode on; the switch sits in the top-right of the page.
- Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
- Pin a14y from the puzzle-piece icon so the popup is one click away on any page.
Updating
Chrome Web Store installs update on Chrome's normal cadence;
no action required. For manual installs, repeat the steps
above with a newer .zip and Chrome replaces the
existing install in place.
Privacy
The extension scores pages locally and sends only anonymous usage events (which check ran, pass/fail counts); not the URL or page content you audited. See privacy for the full breakdown and an on/off toggle.
